Sandstone Law Group is pleased to announce that attorney Kyle Shelton has joined the firm as a partner, expanding the firm’s reach to serve both California and Arizona on long-term disability, ERISA, and other legal matters. A seasoned trial attorney, Shelton is passionate about properly representing the disabled and holding insurance companies accountable for wrongdoing against the community. Before his position at Sandstone Law Group, Shelton worked as a trial attorney at the Dr. Lawyer Law Group where he prosecuted medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases.
Among his cases was a wrongful death case where Shelton was pivotal in securing a five-million-dollar jury verdict in Maricopa County. Shelton holds experience in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including ERISA disability litigation and insurance bad faith.
A graduate summa cum laude from Northern Arizona University, Mr. Shelton earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2009, attending law school alongside Ronstadt founding member Erin Ronstadt. In 2016, Shelton held the title as one of National Trial Lawyers’ “Top 40 Under 40” in Arizona, and has since been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2017 to 2021.

Sandstone Law Group founder Erin Ronstadt has represented clients against most of the major insurance companies and several Fortune 500 companies. Her experience includes managing independent medical examinations, vocational assessments, and other tools used to assess eligibility for disability benefits. In her tenure, Erin has assisted clients struggling with a multitude of disabling illnesses, both physical and mental.
